Its that time of the year AGAIN ! When our good young and now younger Calvin is forced to give up pranks, company of Hobbes and other things that bring tremendous joy to his heart and irritation to the victims.... YES IT IS THE DREADED EXAM TIME....

New nest for dodo

So, the tucked dodo has a new home and one of the other birds is kind of a jerk and a wannabe. I guess she has started recently with accounting and is clearly ignorant of the marginal value of $1. Please read on to get a flavor of this one-of-its-kind bird. Also, this piece is extremely hilarious. So, please capitalize on it. Feel free to explode with laughter!

Hi girls,

I was thinking we ought to settle some of our accounts before it's time to pay next month's rent. I think we should post a check to landlord for next month's rent by mid-next week, so I would like to close all pending accounts before then.

I don't think I have too many items which I purchased for the house - atleast, I cannot remember there being very much. I will try to hunt for the receipts - provided I didnt throw them out. I def bought the coffee maker - but then it's for my "personal" use anyway, so you guys don't need to pay for that. Just feel free to use it whenever! :)

May be we can have a rundown of your receipts later as well - just to make sure there are no objections (there mightn't be, but I thought it might be good to clarify which items are the so-called "house items" and see if everyone is okay with just paying for it). Democratic system ;-)

Separately, I owe you for the WSJ subscription and the $100 which I took from you. I have the $100 with me and will pass it back to you tomorrow. For the rest, I will do a bank transfer.

And that reminds me - please let's pass each other our bank account details (bank account no. i.e.) so that we can set up online transfers easily. I will play around with the settings tomorrow to see how it is, and will send a separate mail accordingly. We can all of us rotate sessions in posting the check - but we need to fix up a dates.
I say we post the check latest by the 28th of each month, so everyone ensure that their portion of the rent has been transferred to whoever's account before that day. Also, our rent is a weird amount - 2041 is hard to split by 3. So I propose we do this: Split the rent by 2040 (that's $680 per head), and the person posting the check that month will "account" for the additional 1$. By the end of 12 months (term of our lease) everyone will have paid the equal amount of $1's.

We can do a "lucky" draw to see who starts off the whole process :D

We can discuss more details tomorrow in the evening. Just wanted to get this mail started off for house-accounts.

This continues from the second last post on the blog..

I shamelessly MBA'ize the little boy and literally rob him of his innocence. So, he goes and plucks the mango. The big mango owner snake had scared the little boy for stealing his share (of the market). We can thus imagine that there is a 'mango' market with all these snakes operating as the big firms hungry for more.

With some mangoes missing the next morning, an all-snake meeting is called by the CAS- Central Association of Snakes. Allegation are thrown on multiple parties and doubts are raised regarding the integrity and competence of snakes. It ends being an ugly war of accusations.

Soon enough, a banker snake suggests 'taking over' another tree- a hostile M&A takeover. He suggests there are good synergies associated with this move as well because then they can jointly look over the security of the trees. The 'target' tree looks for its snake to release the 'poison' pill..

SHUT UP.

Calvin was having some trouble sleeping.. so he asked the awesome dodo to tell him a story..The dodo tried to play smart this time.. She agreed to tell him a story on one condition - The dodo will tell half the story and calvin will complete the other half...Calvin to Dodo's super surprise agreed!

So the dodo starts -

DODO: There was a little boy who lived all alone in a jungle..He was very scared of all teh wild animals who inhabited the jungle..One day the little boy was very hungry..so he went to this mango tree..climbed and tried to pluck a ripe mango.. Just when the little boy was plucking the seemingly juiciest mango on the tree.. he heard a loud and scary voice ! The voice told him ," Stop YOU..do not touch these mangoes or I will not leave you..These mangoes are not for you..Go away of you want to be safe"... The little boy in fear started trembling and tried to find out the source of the voice..He saw a very ugly snake hanging on the branch with a hissing position.. the little boy jumped down and ran away for his dear little life... The next day he thought, what is the purpose of a ripe mango...the ripe mangoes ultimate purpose in its life is to satiate someone's hunger...and who was hingry right now - Yes the little boy himself...so the little boy goes in the dead of the night to pluck mangoes yet again...

Aha! So the good young Calvin turned younger by another year today!!! In the utter happiness and to share the abundant joy of reaching yet another milestone in life..our good young and now YOUNGER Calvin decided to throw a super awesome budday party for all his super awesome friends..!!! Usually Calvin is pretty content partying with Hobbes and playing outdoor games..but today was different.. Also with Dodo guiding our Calvin into the world of glitz and glamor and page 3 (yes the dodo has this really stylish and page 3 image of herself..even though the poor thing has been deprived of frequent parlour visits and regular hair colouring ever since she landed on the shores of United States of Boredom)..lets not digress...so the post is a report on the said budday party which the grapevine tells was like super happening and was attended by whose who of Calvin's little world....

Scene 1: Calvin and Hobbes dancing out of sheer joy as the clock strikes 12 on the historic day of August 11, 2010



Scene 2: Calvin cuts the cake..though he wanted a cake shaped like the unicorn or something exotic..Calvin's mom was just not putting up with his demands..



Scene 3: Calvin's buddy ..the super cool DODO is the first to arrive at the party..this time the dodo is trying to set newest fashion trends with a fancy headgear...



Scene 4: Calvin's 2 super close friends arrive at the scene... right to left( Rona Ronan, the uberhep chic Calvin found really cute the day he landed on his school; Aatu Viku, Calvin's super brains and closest pal who Calvin talks about fondly even while he is asleep)

Oh Calvin!

One fine day, our good young Calvin was getting very bored..His birthday was just round the corner and Calvin was getting antsy about getting older by a year... It was a weekend and Calvin had just moved to a really awesome city but did not have Hobbes to play with... When he could not take it any more - Calvin took out his new iphone 4 which by the way he has been flaunting ever since he ordered it - and called Hobbes to come and rescue him.... and HOLA..HOBBES was there... in joy both started singing this super awesome song which Calvin has been singing ever since he heard it as a toddler...





Calvin and Hobbes singing the melodious hindi song: "Mere Sapno ki Rani kab aayegi tu..Aaayi ruut mastaani kab aayegi tuuuuuuuu"

Dodo was passing by..now our dodo is a little dreamer..she thought that the song was being sung to court her... she was very very ultra super amused...



Just when she started feeling happy about herself and victorious at being able to tame our good young but not so domesticated calvin..this is what was in store for her..

So Calvin's bad mood and this led to Dodo's fury...

Then Calvin..the really young calvin got very tired...Our Calvin is an active boy who doesnt like the feeling of being tired..and thats when his mood started turning towards the worst...



And when Calvin is in a bad mood..it is not a good news for the world...stay tuned!

Dodo's fury

One day the dodo was listening to a perky song on the super awesome speakers which Calvin had got for her... she was quite happy with herself..



she had a few shots of her favourite drink in the world and was humming a song real loud..loud enough to get a worried flatmate come out of hibernation and confirm if she was ok! Dodo was comfortably dodo'd in the couch...till it struck..and struck again..leaving dodo looking like this...




What struck? what caused dodo to be furious? more on it in the next episode..stay tuned..!
